genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan, ‘press on’ has solved, and always will solve, the problems of the human race.” Calvin Coolidge

Kathleen, I loved being on your podcast – you are leading the way . Thank you for having me.
Deborah! Nice to see you here!
So glad to see these pics and hear about your first marathon! My first was Houston in 1997. There are no poohts that capture that day, but I remember the weather (20 degrees and freezing rain), my attire (shorts–not smart–and a long-sleeved black shirt with a garbage bag over them for the first four miles or so) and my friends, who brought me dry shoes at mile 16/18 or so. I couldn’t stay to celebrate the finish because I started to slip toward hypothermia as soon as I stopped running. I ran the whole way. It took me 5 hours and exactly 26 seconds.
