What if the biggest thing standing between where you are today and where you want to be is your willingness to become uncomfortable?
Today I’m beginning Phase III of the Live Hard program, the final stage of Andy Frisella’s year-long mental toughness challenge. After completing 75 Hard, Phase I, and Phase II, I’m stepping into what many people say is the most demanding part of the journey.
In this episode, I explain what Live Hard is, why I decided to commit to it, and how a whole-food, plant-based lifestyle gives me the energy and discipline to pursue ambitious goals.
At 72 years old, I’m not interested in slowing down. I’m interested in becoming stronger, healthier, and more intentional in every area of my life. This challenge isn’t about perfection. It’s about building habits that
support a life of purpose, compassion, and peak performance.
If you’ve been thinking about making changes in your own life, I hope this episode encourages you to stop waiting for the “perfect” time and simply begin.

A Thought to Leave You With
One of the biggest realizations I’ve had is that it’s easy to compare ourselves to people who are doing less and feel like we’re doing great. But real growth happens when we surround ourselves with people who inspire us to raise our own standards.
As I say near the end of this episode:
“I want to be an example of what’s possible rather than a warning of what not to do.”
If you’re ready to challenge yourself—whether that’s through better nutrition, more movement, stronger habits, or simply becoming more intentional with your life—I hope you’ll join me on this journey.
