In a current promotion, one leading expert is saying that things like Facebook, MySpace, and Squidoo are too time-consuming for the benfits they offer. Others say I need to be on all of these to have a “presence.” Hard to know what to think!

Good point Malcolm. Yet, when I see some of the top folks on FB, Twitter, Squidoo and other online locations, I have to think there is something to this.
Actually, I have tracked revenues back to some of the promotions I have done in all these locations.
As with anything, it is a matter of tracking ROI and making sure that we are utilizing our time and energy effectively.

Unfortunately, many people do not take time to evaluate this aspect of running an online business. And that is why they either don’t make money or get frustrated and call it quits without knowing what hit them.
