The world of insurance is changing. One person who is committed to this change is Justin Manning. An 11-year vegan, Justin is committed to raising awareness about the benefits of making healthy food choices based on a plant-based diet. Changes that improve your health, your finances, and your insurance rates.
Justin Manning is known as the go-to agent in Canada who works with vegan and plant-based lifestylists and companies. Committed to healing Canadians with health and wellness planning, Justin has successfully carved out his place as a vegan and as a professional committed to the well-being of his clients.
In his previous career, Justin was a fitness trainer known for his outdoor boot camps as well as working with corporations who wanted to increase the health of their workforce.
Even though Justin has long been a fitness enthusiast, there was a period in his life where his habits caused him to balloon up in his weight, carrying an extra 55 pounds.
When he got honest with himself about his health, he committed to getting back in top shape, releasing the excess weight and changing his food choices.
His life as a vegan is complimented by his wife’s commitment to being a vegan.
Conscious Choice to Work with Vegans
When Justin made a conscious choice to work with vegans and plant-based lifestylists, he was clear this was a necessary progression in his career. He wanted to work with people who “vote with their dollars.”
His passion resides in working with clients who are in alignment with his values as they relate to being a vegan.
He’s done quite well in that there are those who will only invest in ethical businesses as they relate to veganism, compassion to animals and the environment.
Justin wants to do what he can to educate the public about taking their health back. His vision is a world without heart disease. One where people have a much better quality of life due to being healthier.
Making Changes to Your Lifestyle
Justin believes that when a person makes a change it can be either a responsive or reactive change. Often, if someone is given a health scare, they will make a change based on reaction. To get ahead of a health scare, Justin recommends making changes you know will benefit you before your doctor says it’s time for meds or surgery.
He recommends putting your focus on the gains you will make rather than what is being taken away.
When making the change, rather than saying, “I can’t have something, say ‘I choose not to have this.’”
Rewards Programs with Insurance
We talked about rates being decreased for those who subscribe to a vegan/plant-based eating protocol. It has been documented that eating this way does improve one’s health, reduces the risks of many diseases, including the number one killer, heart disease, and other common health conditions.
“It’s in the best interest of insurance companies to reward those who live a healthy lifestyle. It’s a numbers game and the numbers indicate, eating vegan decreases your risk factors,” Justin points out.
We are in for a big disruption in the insurance space in the coming years. Justin is well positioned to help people as this disruption takes place.
We are moving more towards those who will only invest in ethical businesses. They make their choices based on companies committed to health, compassion to animals and the environment.
A great investment we can all make is eating to be as healthy as possible. From there, determining what type of insurance, such as life insurance, is best for you based on your situation.
How to Move into a Plant Based Diet
Know the truth. There are a lot of myths that mislead people into believing things that are not accurate.
If you are experiencing inflammation, think of how great you will feel when you no longer experience the type of inflammation you do with a meat and dairy based diet. Many people experience a hugely evident change within a few days.
For anyone who is dealing with the feeling of being “unnecessarily uncomfortable” in their body, transitioning to a plant-based/vegan eating protocol is a great way to eliminate this feeling.
Watch documentaries that will raise your awareness about what really goes on in the food industry such as What the Health, Cowspiracy, Earthlings, Seaspiracy and any film that opens your eyes… and ultimately your heart.
