As a former contestant on America’s Next Top Model, Marvita Washington knows what it takes to live her passion. She also knows that many people work from the outside in, rather than the inside out. Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, Marvita currently resides in New York City. With New York as her home base, she loves returning to the hustle and bustle after one of her many trips traveling around the world.
She prides herself with bringing her energy and passion for modeling to every project she works on. Whether it be a sporty, tomboy look to high-fashion and everything in between, Marvita offers versatility to modeling in various genres.
In addition to modeling, she is also the owner and chef of Marvita Vegan, a vegan restaurant that offers an assortment of healthy food options and beverages.
In her leisure time, she loves working out, maintaining an essential and healthy skincare regimen and expanding her French vocabulary.
During our conversation, Marvita pulled back the curtain on what it was like to be a contestant on America’s Next Top Model, not once, but twice.
Her journey into veganism was due to a health scare in 2017. After having a tumor removed, she dug deep into healthy eating. This is when she discovered the vegan lifestyle.
Although eating vegan and plant based was not as prevalent when she started her modeling career, today more and more models are choosing this as their protocol.

Marvita is very committed to healthy eating and will cleanse to assure she is keeping toxins out of her system as much as possible. Choosing to juice and raw food cleanse at least three days out of the month, she encourages others to give it a try.
“You’d be surprised at what comes out of your body with a cleanse,”
Marvita was able to turn her passion for food into her business when she opened the Marvita Vegan which offers vegan catering and meal delivery services.
Marvita will be the first to admit that staying healthy does take effort. She encourages others to drink plenty of water, eat healthy (vegan), exercise and be willing to motivate yourself when you may not feel like doing what’s healthiest.
She recommends that people work on their inner self and the outer will take care of itself. Again, this is not to say it won’t take work, but if you focus solely on the outside, you are going about it backward. Meditation is important to Marvita to stay the course and stay balanced.
Still actively modeling, Marvita is embarking on new opportunities with brands where she can bring 110% of her energy and enthusiasm on set.

Taking vegan food helps in weight loss because plant-based calories are healthier and an example is green tea which helps in boosting the body’s metabolic rate hence aid in weight loss.
