She has made it her life’s work to raise awareness about bringing environmentally conscious vegan living to the forefront and reports on all the latest animal rights’ aspects, including The Save Movement’s vigils, various PETA protests, VegFests, AV Cube of Truths, vegan conferences and more.
Wearing many hats, literally, in her day-to-day endeavors, Paige has a very unique perspective of the vegan movement.

Six Month Ramp Up

Curious about what the vegan lifestyle entailed, Paige spent the following six months after deciding to go vegan, shopping with her daughter to learn as much as possible about food labels, whole food choices and what being a vegan actually meant.
Her roots in the sustainability movement began with banning plastics, specifically plastic bags, in the state of California. At the time, she was involved in her children’s non-profit that was called Move the World. In essence, those involved danced for a cause.
Her perception about veganism took a major turn when she watched the documentary, Cowspiracy. What struck her was how much water was used for bringing animal products to people’s plates. This was the beginning of Paige realizing that a change in her food choices could have a major impact on the planet.

But I’m Just One Person

When asked if one person can make much of a difference, Paige didn’t miss a beat.
“When I post something on social media, I am impacting people. It’s the same with how I vote with my dollars. What I do, and don’t buy, makes a difference.”
Impacted by the passing of both her parents with diseases that were amplified by food choices, Paige’s resolve to do all possible to raise awareness is evident in her passion.
She is also fully aware that the next generation is impacted by the choices we all make. It’s not okay anymore to sit back and hope for a brighter future. We have to be willing to step in and do whatever we can to be a voice for the voiceless and take care of the environment.

An Unexpected Meeting

A huge shift in Paige’s career occurred five years ago when she participated with a group of people to give water to pigs being transported to slaughterhouses.
“I felt I had made the connection to pigs being transported from feedlots and from farms in these trucks with the little snouts sticking out. They’re hot and they’re heated and they’re going into a slaughterhouse. We gave them water and kindness and love with the Los Angeles Animal Save and the Animal Save Movement Global.
“It was so amazing to go through that. This is when I met Jane Velez-Mitchell. Within six months, I joined her team.”
Now a very familiar face on the Jane Unchained News Team, Paige is encouraged by all that is transpiring in the vegan movement. To learn more go to: https://janeunchained.com/
