Think about what it takes to get your message to market. Do you get excited or does fear stop you from reaching as many people as possible?
If you believe in what you do and know your message will have a positive impact on your market, but fear is holding you back from getting your message out you are doing not only you, but also your market, a huge disservice.
Unfortunately, many people never reach their full potential due to fear. Most fear is imagined yet our response to it makes it real, very real.
In order to get through the fear that may be holding you back ask yourself these questions.
- How will my information benefit others?
- How committed am I to getting my message out?
- What will it take for me to live in a “no limits” mindset?
- What is the footprint I am meant to leave when all is said and done?
Think of it this way; life is short. We don’t have forever to do what we came here to do. What will it take for you to do all you can to do your life’s work?
Leave your comments on what you believe will help others get through fear. What have you done to do so?
Ah fear is an evil, ugly thing. Fear of success, fear of responsibility, fear of failure, they all factor in. Mine was fear of boredom. That if I stick to one niche for more than 3-years, I’ll become bored and want to move on.
To get over this fear, I’ve been adding a bit more “me” in my marketing materials. This has renewed my excitement in my subject matter and has removed any sense of boredom in my brand. I’m just so excited.
What a great idea to overcome fear – adding “us” into our message. Authenticity rules!
Kathleen,
Fear is a big roadblock for many people. I wonder how much of it is fear of succeeding more than failing?
I fear having to “outdo” what I have done the past. How can I be better? How can I improve? It sometimes seems endless.
Fear is one of those MindSet monsters that plays tricks on us.
Yet, Kathleen, some fear is good. Like the fear that we are in physical danger– that primal instinct that makes the hair stand up on the back of our necks or sends a chill down our spine.
Destructive fear, on the other hand, is the fear that freezes us in our tracks.
Most fear that comes from our minds does not serve our best interest. When the fear MindSet grips us, it clouds our judgment and limits our choices.
I’ve found that we can use simple physical movement to help shift our mind out of fear… I call it “stepping out of fear.” Literally, taking a physical step with the conscious intention of stepping out of the fear and into our strength.
Great recommendations Donna. Thanks for sharing.
