After earning her university degree, she worked in the public relations industry for 13 years. During that time, she launched Conscious Public Relations Inc. at the age of 25.

Over the 10 years in business, Nomoto earned B Corporation® certification and contributed to eWomenNetwork Vancouver earning the  Best Social Media and Community Engagement Award. 

Sandra previously served on the Board of Directors for both the Vancouver Mural Festival and Vancouver Short Film Festival, which she helped grow from 2005 to 2015.
