Are you frustrated because you have “seen the light” to do with plant-based eating and becoming vegan and yet others just aren’t getting it?

Here’s the deal… it took what it took for each of us to get where we are at. Assuming others should get it any sooner is placing high, even unrealistic, expectations on others.

However, this does not mean we cannot, and should not, continue to do all possible to raise awareness.

WE ARE AT THE EDGE OF THE CLIFF

We ARE at a very critical time. We ARE at the edge of the cliff so there is an urgency to what needs to be done.

Yet, many people still refuse to make any changes that they consider an inconvenience.

Still others deny there is such a thing as the level of cruelty that goes on in factory farms, climate change and a massive decline in people’s health.

Others refuse to admit they can do anything to minimize their risk should they contract any of the variants of COVID.

Yet, if you look at the facts, it is a fact that the majority of people who have had complications have had multiple comorbidities.

Comorbidities are the simultaneous presence of two or more diseases or medical conditions in a patient such as obesity, high blood pressure, Type II diabetes, and hypertension.

If the “powers that be” would focus as much effort on educating people on how to reduce their risks through healthy eating, exercise and stress management as they do on Big Pharma products, things would likely be dramatically different.

AWARENESS IS A PROCESS

Raising awareness is a process that is just that…. a process. No matter how much resistance, denial and pushback we get, we must keep doing what we do. We have to realize there will be those that turn away, and those who have their eyes opened because of something we say, write or videos we shoot.

I try to remember what it took (and continues to take) for me to finally embrace the lifestyle changes I made by identifying as a vegan.

IT TAKES WHAT IT TAKES

I was 64 when I gave up meat and dairy in my food consumption 3 1/2 years ago. Initially, it was not for altruistic reasons. It was due to inflammation.

Since that time, my eyes have been opened more each day to how food is processed, what’s happening to the planet and how people are being lied to about their health and what they can do to minimize their health risks.

So much in fact that I switched up my business model, have two podcast shows to do with veganism and plant-based eating, I am writing my next book about being vegan, and I go deeper and deeper into the vegan lifestyle and running a vegan business.

There are people who have thanked me for what I’m doing, and many others who have gotten off my subscriber list, choose to ignore my messages and have no interest in the shift I have made.

There are those who love listening to the people on my shows, and others who could care less and even poke fun at the whole environment, animal compassion and health aspect topics I focus on with my shows, writing and content creation.
